100,000 welcomes. Thats the greeting often associated with Ireland.
In a local school I visited recently ther hallway was bedecked with the word "Welcome" in 17 languages - one for each of the school's language groups. A small step to welcome the stranger, the sojourner, the offer of belonging.
We often with-hold that offer of welcome by our actions, words, cultural expression and - dare I say it - our prejudices.
So when we say you are welcome, do our actions support our words? When will our future have room for their future as well??
