An Avid Lensman

Salisbury Street Culture, Dusk

The fine array of medieval buildings in the now totally pedestrianised Market Square, as all their golden warm lights come on.

Some of you may know what the big pointy thing, photo-bombing, is.

I was testing what the new Nikkor 60mm macro is like handholding in low light - it is fully usable, sharpness wise, from maximum aperture and the superb balance of the (non stabilised) lens on the quite weighty D7100 allowed me to quite reliably get down to 1/40 second.

There is just a noticeable sharpness difference here at f4, over f2.8, if you zoom in on the PC screen to actual pixels, especially in the corners - here I could even read all the menus!

Look in Full Screen!
