Nelson Monument, Edinburgh

Its hot and sunny today.
I came to work overdressed and needed a walk to cool down.

My wanderings took me passed Regent Road just prior to the ball drop on the top of Nelson's monument.

Having never actually seen this occur, it was a bit of an anti-climax. The ball rose, then fell at 1pm. To be honest I'm not sure what else I was expecting. It did it's job.
