Hanbury Hall

We met Chris and Jean at Hanbury Hall, a National Trust  property near Droitwich Spa. It was another hot day so we made a beeline for the cafe for a refreshing cup of tea.  After, we took a leisurely walk round the gardens before heading back to the cafe for a spot of lunch.

It is very pleasant there and good to see again not having been for a few years.

The Long Gallery had been given over to an art exhibition featuring the Japanese artist, Takumasa Ono (see   http://www.takumasaono.co.uk   With his association with the National Trust he has travelled to and painted over 100 properties, many of which were on display in the gallery. He was also showing some of his Japanese ink paintings.  He agreed to pose for a photo for me, see extras.

This evening we went out with Tom for a meal at The Dirty Duck.  As it was such a nice evening we ate outside in their garden.
