Thursday: Hawelka

There are two types of cafe in Vienna.  One is full of ladies in fur coats, clutching chihuahuas, the other is full of threadbare sofas with springs sticking out and people who clutch books over iPads.  I definitely prefer the latter.

If heaven turned out to be a large cafe in the sky, this would be it.  The Hawelka, unchanged since 1947.......
