NHM: Central Hall Ceiling and Arches HDR

"Look up!"

I feel like I haven't posted an NHM HDR for ages, but apparently I posted one last week...
I was busy so took hardly any photos today, so I'm glad that this set of exposures came together. The light was very low and gloomy when I took this, so most of the light on the ceiling is actually artificial rather than reflected natural light; I think that is why the colours on the panels seem so muted and uniform.

I find these unique ceiling panels endlessly intriguing: they're varied and characterful. I don't think I've ever noticed a visitor looking up at them or taking an interest; there ought to be signs out that say "Look up!".
