“The Battle of Hastings” did not take place at Hastings, but at Battle.
“Warrior Square” in St Leonards displays this statue of Queen Victoria, not a warrior.
I was told that during the War (1939-45) the statue was shot with a bullet to the knee.
None of this has anything to do with the Battle of Wounded Knee, though the injury is plainly visible.

Also in Hastings is a loggia called “Bottle Alley”. The enclosed side is decorated with panels of coloured broken glass bottles set into concrete and the open side has some very imaginatively painted columns. Normally I would regard broken glass set into cement as passive/aggressive, but in this instance I see it as artistic and decorative

Hut-hut-hut-hut-hut is another matter altogether.
