So this is what the Mr has been working on for 2 days straight and was able to complete this evening. The previous owners put this deck on the house but never really finished it, as it really needed a railing on either side. Because it has unevenly-width-ed (can't think of a better word) steps, one can make a misstep and slide off the second step from the bottom. Mr says he can't believe some of the stupid stuff done by previous owners on this house.

Anyway, the railing is not all that aesthetic but it is solid and useful. Sort of like my Mr in this picture! :)

I tried a 10-minute acrylic painting youtube tutorial (inspiration courtesy of gennepher) but I need LOTS of practice. Like maybe years.
