Cat by Ethan Dunbar

Awarded Special Merit in the Tesco Bank Art Competition for Schools, Primary 1 to 3 category, seen with S who had come through from Glasgow. We hadn't seen each other for at least two years and enjoyed catching up sitting outside in the cafe, as well as looking at most of the paintings and sculptures on display at the gallery.

I thought this was a brilliant painting, one of the best in the gallery (and I don't mean that the rest of the paintings were rubbish, as they weren't - although I am biased towards cats).

I've now added an extra photo of S beside End Paper by Sara Barker as I think they go rather well together.
