Long Meg and Her Daughters

This Bronze Age stone circle at Little Salkeld near Penrith is one of the largest in the northwest Europe, being 100 metres in diameter at its widest part, and comprising 59 stones.  The standing-stone named Long Meg is 25 metres southwest of the circle.
