Taking shade

Caldbeck village green is part of Caldbeck Common.  Consequently one or more local farmers have the right to graze it, which is just fine and dandy as far as the local residents are concerned.  Sometimes sheep and/or cattle are brought to the Green, sometimes they just wander down of their own accord, there being no cattle grid at the top of the village.  I don't know how these arrived, but they clearly found it a bit warm when they got there.
