Mine and garden

Another full day. A visit to Levant Mine this morning where we walked around this beautiful and rugged site on the tin coast, saw the historic beam engine steaming and took in the amazing history of the working lives of those brave miners, women and children too.

Then we went to Trengwainton Garden near Penzance. Lunch in the lovely tea gardens followed by a good walk exploring some of the 25 acres of very different woodland, gardens, plant species and the well stocked orchard and kitchen garden. The scent of the sweet peas was gorgeous and the view from the terrace was spectacular looking over the stunning blue water of Mount's Bay all the way to the Lizard Point.

Finally we went to see LL's son and daughter in law in Penzance and had a coffee and catch up.

We've now got the evening to look forward to, unfortunately the last with our lovely friends for a while though.
