Not A Great Start To The Week

A rather distressing Monday morning.  Both elevators are out of order (apparently they got stuck between floors, but luckily no one was in either one when it happened), so we have to use the freight elevator until further notice.  Fingers crossed it doesn't decide to go on the fritz as well, or we'll be hoofing it up and down 26 flights of stairs with Mabel in tow!

More upsetting by a long shot was finding the Boston Common end of our street closed off by police.  Apparently someone decided to end it all, and jumped from the roof of the building next to ours just after 6:00 this morning. Very, very sad indeed.
