Crossing the Border

The Dower House had an away day today, across the border to York to meet up with Carole and Bruce whom we met on our Indian Rail journey 4 years ago.
We had an instant rapport with them then and have met up in Yorkshire every summer since. It is strange that His Lordship and Bruce look like brothers and Carole and I have so much in common.

We spent the day chatting in their holiday house, chatting in a pub, chatting as we meandered through the streets of York, chatting over a coffee, chatting in the Museum Gardens and finally chatting on platform 9 as we waited for the Edinburgh train. Chatting was the order of the day and chatting lifted our spirits no end after a fairly miserable few months.
