Lace

This lady was making the most exquisite piece of lace which is apparently a local tradition and known as 'kopaneli'. There were a dozen or so pieces of hers for sale but what on earth would I do with them...?!

After a late night yesterday we had a lazy time, just popping out for food for lunch and then to watch the England game at a local taverna. The better team won, it has to be said. Sadly, there were some Scots there being aggressively vocal; I don't mind bit of rivalry at all, but revelling in other's misfortunes is pretty unpleasant.

A lovely wander back in the warm night air. The Milky Way is visible as are Mars and Venus and there were plenty of bats making the most of the insects. We are hoping the mosquito population is being demolished as LD had a few nasty bites last night. Worse than Orcadian midges even!
