East Hill, Hastings

Brighton Blondes meet Hailsham Brunettes.

Karen had arranged a trip to the lavender fields for today but the weather forecast wasn't favourable. Karen, Chrissy, Karen (with whom I went on holiday recently) went instead to Hastings Old Town where the sun was shining.

We looked round the fishing huts and boats before taking the funicular railway to East Hill. Back at sea level we sought out a café for a coffee break then went to visit the Lifeboat Station.

Next on the agenda was a meander through George Street to the West Hill funicular railway. We dined with far reaching views over the sparkling sea and equally sparkling conversation. To walk off lunch we headed to the pier, stopping to take some funny photos of each other by the beach huts.

All in all a very lovely holiday feel to a day of making new friends.
