Smugairle róin

Uh oh, they're back in town. Well, actually only this chap, floating at the shore line.  A smuglaire róin which our Irish teacher had great fun explaining meant seal snot. The red tide seems to have gone and the water was gorgeous down at Sunny Cove, living up to its name. Back to the heat today.

I accompanied HImself to Bantry Market this morning. It was heaving and a new fortune teller is in town - she wasn't doing exactly a roaring trade. You'd have to be brave wouldn't you? All sorts of stuff for sale and a very jolly atmosphere.

Now gearing up for Bantry Literary Festival - a first class programme on offer, many events free though I have booked up for quite a few talks. A hectic week ahead.
