Da Family looking a bit pop eyed (not pie eyed)

Tonight we went into town to view the Matariki fireworks display that was postponed last Saturday because of the whale that had made himself at home in the harbour but has since moved on. A perfect winter night, we were rugged up but didn't really need so many layers.
Matariki (Maori New Year) is the name given for a cluster of stars so I guess fireworks display is appropriate.
Doug and I headed out to Lower Hutt this morning, enjoyed lunch with Dougs sister and daughter.  Then they went to the Aged Care facility to visit her husband.  I stayed back as didn't want to spread my cold with him, he hasn't got much to come and go on and certainly doesn't need to have a cold to deal with as well. However, he was quite good today and enjoyed seeing Doug and the rugby conversations.
