The eight foot tall sunflower in the veggie garden is now in flower. It looks very bright against the blue sky.

A very busy day spent reorganising the chicken field. We took down one of the aviaries, cleared out hutches, mucked out coops and generally gave a good tidy up. It's amazing how much wood and brick/stone slabs are not needed. We are going to reduce the size of their field and take down the big stable. We used to have 200 chickens, 13 aylesbury ducks, 3 muscovies and 5 Chinese geese. Now there are only 20 chickens, 5 aylesburys, 2 muscovies and 2 Chinese geese.
Our house sitters said we were overfeeding them and I think it will be an easier job if we reduce everything.

It has been very hot today and now we are relaxing with a Ricard and pretending that we are on holiday. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
