Thai silk mystery

A visit to the Jim Thompson House Museum today; a beautiful Thai house in the middle of the city. Thompson was an American architect who revitalized the Thai silk industry after the Second World War. He disappeared in mysterious circumstances in 1967.

His house is beautifully maintained and there’s a chain of stores across the country bearing is name. So a sad case of gone but not forgotten.

The picture shows a wooden print for sarongs. If you look closely you can just see the ruler at the top!
