Easy Pickings

As the heatwave continues, it's getting harder to find new flowers to photograph for my journal but with so many butterflies on the wing, there's still easy pickings to be had :-)

Food, family, football ..... and tennis, gardening plus studying the bulb catalogue.  In the garden I dug up and divided Scilla peruviana and some hardy orchids.  Both were small groups when plated out some years ago.  The scilla had done so well the bulbs were crowing each other to the point where they did not flower this year.  The orchids, dactylorhizas, needed moving as the bed they are in is being renewed and soon after flowering is the best time to make the move.

A busy week ahead .... should feature some steamy blips I hope ;-)
