More music! Dakha Brakha, billed as a Ukrainian ethnic chaos band, is four outstanding vocalists and countless instruments: accordion, cello, piano, percussion, bass drums, tabla, djembe and a collection of whistles and bird calls. The audience was asked to put away their cameras, so I have to be satisfied with the shot of their colorful cello on an empty stage. Otherwise you would see three amazing women in neo-folk dress, dripping with beads, and topped with gigantic black fur hats. Traditional haunting melodies, mesmerizing percussion, sly humor, Ukrainian rap--check it out.
