The Many Adventures of Minny Blipper

With the strains of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony ringing in his ears, Minny gazed over the landscape with ascending horror.  What was this place?  Where were the shops? Where were the city streets?

Poor Minny - he had never been into the countryside before.  He was city born and bred and what he saw before him was an alien landscape.  Wild flowers, a pond, frogs croaking, birds singing in big trees.

And there in front of him was the dreaded motor home - and a boat - and a woman cooking a barbecue - fish flapping about on the ground - and a small boy with flippers and a camera LARGER THAN HIS.

"Allo 'allo ma Cherie - sang out Monsieur le Chef - an' 'ow is my girl?  My Marianne.  OK, OK, OK said Minny with a deep sigh.  Who is Marianne? And who is the kid?

Why, Marianne is my sister of course said Marie.  Didn't I tell you?  She practises subsistence living in the forest with her son, Michel.  He catches fish and deer and stuff and she cooks on the barbecue.  Yummy!!

Oh, and he takes the most amazing macro photos with that camera of his.  You can compare notes.

Minny thought his world had come to an end.  The last thing he wanted to do was look at a kid's camera with a macro lens, the type about which he could only dream.  It looked like a  Canon 100mm prime; some sort subsistence living that could afford that lens.

He turned away, and what he saw next made shivers run up and down his spine.  He saw.........
