Helen's Garden

We had a lovely evening with Helen last night and then stayed with her overnight.  It was really good to catch up on all the news as we haven't seen each other since our last night in Hanoi.  We got on very well on holiday and I hope we have established a lasting friendship  Her garden is small but beautiful and butts on to the graveyard of the parish church.  No one wants to dig too deeply in her garden, but it seems to be very well fertilised!

The extra is the front of Helen's delightful seventeenth century cottage which she renovated over a few years (Thanks to lots of obstructive objecting neighbours) but she has lived there for a couple of years now.  She had some bad water leaks at the end of last year but is just getting to the end of sorting all that out now.  The cottage is full of character and she loves it.  We loved staying with her too.  A pity about the car parked on the double yellow lines.  Parking is a bit of an issue in the town.

Home now.  Feels like a little holiday has been had!
