A little heart......

.......snowdrop Galanthus Atkinsii is named after the 19th Century plantsman James Atkins.

Very early and vigorous, this snowdrop produces nodding white flowers with long and slender outer petals which enclose inner petals bearing a prominent green heart at their tips. Flowering late winter and into early spring a delicate honey scented fragrance drifts through the garden.

Tis Flower Friday, warm thanks to Anni for continuing to host this lovely challenge :)

Have a great weekend everyone :)
