Turn of the Tide

We watched the little boats sailing out of Eyemouth harbour this evening, while we strolled along the quay. We'd just eaten two Pensioners' Fish Teas at Giacopazzis, and they were scrumptious.

Earlier we visited old  friends who live in Berwickshire for a cup of tea and a blether.

On our way to them we stopped in Kelso to go to the Abbey Quilters' exhibition where there was an amazing display of stitchery, and also of cake. Our tickets (£3 each) included as much coffee/tea and home baking as you could eat. You didn't get to choose - they just kept bringing it out until we finally gave in. 

So, by the time we got to Eyemouth and the chippie, we were struggling.  Definitely no room for an ice-cream!
