Monster Fungus

I finally get a couple of days ‘off’ and what happens?? I am full of cold and feeling terrible. It is a horrid, streaming cold - and now beginning to go to my chest. So apart from walking the dog in the woods this morning I have have hardly moved all day.

I did photograph this monster fungus though - to give it some scale, the top plate is about 30cm (12 “) across.

Not sure what it is, although it does have some similarity to Dryad’s Saddle. The wavy edges have thrown me though - and it is growing near a live tree rather than on a rotting log.
