Loitering in the loganberries

An interrupted night last night, think I was too warm!

We were in no rush to get up this morning, but when we did it was pretty cloudy and a little damp.

We skipped breakfast in favour of brown toast and scrambled eggs for brunch, after we had been for the papers and sampled our recent purchase of coffee beans.....thry are the perfect strength for me, rich and mellow, not too strong, happy bunny :-)

Hub went out into the garden early afternoon to tidy up the soft fruit area now that we have picked the majority. He called me to come see this butterfly in amongst the loganberries, not sure what species it is....not the sharpest photo but its all Ive got today :-/

I was busy in the kitchen making a big batch to pasta sauce, as hub had picked about 3lb of assorted varieties, and half a dozen chillis too.
An hour later I had 4 tubs of tomato passata for freezing, plus some in the fridge to concoct something for dinner tomorrow dinner.

We have had slow roasted pork shoulder steaks, on a bed of sliced onions, apple, rosemary and sage, with new potatoes and. cauliflower cheese, followed, much later by gooseberry crumble with creme fraiche :-)

Whilst dinner was cooking, I finally got around to uploading almost a 1000 images from my camera into Lightroom, all thats needed now is editing and filing !!!!

Ive also spent some time trying to select 10 of my favourite images to share at camera club, easier said than done! Still some work needed!!

Just watched Countryfile, looks like we are in for another spell of hot dry weather this coming week......not much chance of rain.
We have a hosepipe ban coming into force in the North West early August, dont see us being able to avoid it somehow :-/
