Two museum visits today. A weekend subway detour led me astray, as I headed for The International Center of Photography (ICP), downtown on the Bowery, and I took a taxi after surfacing.  It took 20 minutes in slow traffic  to go barely a mile—the blip was captured from my stationary cab. There I saw a show of Henri Cartier-Bresson, focused on his influential first book, The Decisive Moment (1952).  Much was familiar, but it’s always worthwhile to see his work.  Downstairs were images from June 8th 1968, as Robert F. Kennedy’s funeral train  traveled from New York to Washington D.C.—bringing back painful memories for me.  The subway uptown worked better.  At the Met was an exhibition  including quilts from Gee’s Bend, Alabama (recalling the show we saw several months ago).

Posted late next day.  The mark on the map is approximate :)
