Dunes

As we have no gardening or Cosmo duties today, and the sun is shining we headed to the beach. This is St Cyrus where there is a long stretch of sandy dunes.

The cliffs in the top picture were formed by lava flow, and the flat area below is a river bed, dry at the moment, though apparently there is some damp in winter.

We had a walk along the beach, the wind was cold when the sun went behind the clouds, I could have done with a jacket. We later went slightly inland to House of Dun where it was much warmer.
