Slipping into Jersey

After a rather cramped train journey down to Poole, in Dorset - our daughters had to stand all the way from Clapham Junction and there was nowhere for the luggage - we took the fast trimaran 'Condor Liberation' to Jersey, calling in at St Peter Port on Guernsey en route

We sailed past Elizabeth Castle as we came into St Helier - it was built to defend Jersey and completed in 1594. After disembarkation we discovered that the hire car desk was closed and there was no car for us. When the man eventually showed up it turned out that he was expecting us from the St Malo ferry! We got some free fuel in compensation.
