Time for meds!

I have had to make separate alarms entitled with the name of the drugs I'm due at that time to make sure I don't get muddled up and do myself any further harm. I had a pretty sleepless night through a combination of pain, nightmares and worrying about The Other-half who was due to have his epidural. It was two hours before he texted to let me know he was OK! The Mother also kept waking me because she stood in the doorway at least every hour! Understandable worry but it kept waking me with a start which is not helpful when you have tender ribs! Getting in and out of bed was like a military operation!
We then had to head to A+E this morning due to swelling of my ankle and foot that had gotten worse quite quickly. We spent four hours waiting to be seen, tissue damage was diagnosed and pain relief for the ribs was upped. A bed for a few nights in LCH was considered for me to rest more easily. but there was no room and I wasn't an emergency case. The other half's specialist wasn't happy that I had been discharged from QMC so soon with my extra broken ribs! It was too much effort to re-admit- from both sides.
Good news however, The Other-Half is in a lot less pain due to his epidural. He even got out of bed for a short while for the first time and started eating ( he definitely must be feeling better). Hopefully, he will be home by the time the week is done.
I headed back to my own bed later in the evening and Lil sis and a cousin stayed over to act as my nurses.
