Drove to Holland-on-sea to stay with Ralph for a few days which was quite an uncomfortable journey as the A/C in my car doesn't work!  The poppy seed heads in his tinder dry garden caught my eye as the heatwave continues with temps easily over 30ºC.   A very enjoyable evening having dinner with friends of his in the local pub, always great to meet people and instantly get along.

Evening news is full of appalling scenes of the wild fires near Athens.
