Chilli

The first chilli has ripened in the greenhouse. They seem to start off by going from green to a bit blackish, and then suddenly they turn bright red. These were grown from plants bought at a plant sale, and we did a taste test on a green one the other day. It was a lot hotter than I thought it would be, so just how useful these are going to be I'm not sure. If they're too hot, I'll have to persuade myself that they're decorative more than culinary.
