Best laid plans . . . !

We had planned to spend the morning at the Edinburgh National Archives to do some research, but I fear I have come down with the virus that seems to be affecting everyone and could not face sitting in the dusty rooms for several hours . . . so we didn't do that.

We had planned to return home by the coastal route and spend some time by the sea, but it was a very grey and at times drizzly day . . . so that was not very successful.

However, we did do one thing and that was to visit the best Italian Deli in the UK (apparently this is official now!). We never, ever leave Edinburgh without visiting Valvona and Crolla - for coffee, for lunch, for food to take home. A fabulous place.
