portnahaven

We parked up at Port Wemyss for the night and have spent this morning wandering around Portnahaven, which is a pretty village surrounding a sheltered harbour and small sandy beach. Rather like a very quiet version of somewhere in Cornwall. From the van we could see the Stevenson Lighthouse flashing on the nearby island of Orsay. There is a Telford Church, a pub and a post office, too. Nearby was built the Limpet ( http://www.alternativeenergysourcesinfo.com/limpet-wave-energy.html) the world’s first wave energy supply to the grid.

Lot and lots of seals in the harbour - I love watching them! (see extra)
