Teasing Blood Moon

We had thunder, lightning and a cloudburst this afternoon. I got soaked to the skin and loved inhaling the petrichor like a ram sniffs the air for ewes. This did not bode well for getting images of the blood moon though.

Thinking positive I got my gorgeous tripod out that I never use and clipped the camera and the 100-400 on. I loaded it, MrQ and Ollie dog into 'her' car and we went to open countryside near Epping. Ollie loved exploring somewhere new. We saw buzzards, owls and hares but sadly no blood moon owing to thick cloud. :(
