Eucharist in the Castle

This weekend Mourão has gone back to Medieval times. The town is packed and various folk are wandering around in medieval garb - you can see one in the thumbnail.

The celebrations began tonight with an open air Eucharist (Missa Campal) within the castle grounds. Thought it fitted in really well - though, as we told the Padre, he really should have done it in Latin!

The three acolytes (in white, on the platform) joined us and him for dinner, plus three others. Then went back up to the castle in the bright moonlight, and ended up talking to one of the guys who does jousting - really knew what he was talking about, and a total enthusiast, eventually tore ourselves away after 1am.
