Glass Wall

Out to Qupi to meet and feed the son at lunchtime not long after some huge cloudbursts. In return he gave me a bag of washing. At least he’s not wearing that forage cap that used to drive me nuts.
Up town later to catch Apostasy at the Filmhouse. A slow and straightforward film which subtly increases in strength as it goes until you’re quite gripped. At least, I was. For those that don’t know, it’s a drama about a family of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a lot of online comment has come from ex-JH people who testify to its truthfulness (the Director/Writer is also ex-JW). What an absolute madness to try to live your life according to ancient texts as if they were the literal truth. Of course, if you do believe, then it’s hypocrisy to live any other way, I guess.
As an aside, apparently Jehovah’s Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays because they believe that such celebrations displease God. I imagine that includes blip birthdays, you satanic bunch.
