Tent with a view

Today is baking hot. We walk, swim, drink tea. Claire eats her boil-in-a-bag all-day-breakfast.

The sun climbs relentlessly. There is no shade. We luxuriate in the heat, but avoid excessive sun. Neither of us thought to bring a sun hat in yesterday’s rain shower. I drape my travel towel over my head.

We walk out early afternoon, grazed by cleggs, to get a call in to the solicitor. No progress yet.

Then it’s on to Achmelvich. Another beautiful beach, complete with a busy caravan park. We pitch in the overflow camping space head for a swim. Then it’s tortellini with tomato sauce and a passable bottle of Malbec.
