As most of you know we rescued Whisper (previously called Snowy) 2 years and 8 months ago ...... he was a street dog originally from Bucharest in Romania and was brought to the UK by a charity called K-9 Angels who do absolutely wonderful work rehoming dogs from all over the world who would otherwise die on the streets.

Please, please, please if you are thinking of getting a dog don't put money into the pockets of unscrupulous breeders and puppy farmers, think about taking on a rescue dog (he is our third and my fifth) - we couldn't have been luckier with our boy (well, he does steal food and he does slim-bendy out the door and run away if we're not careful!!!) but as far as affection and love goes he is the best - he's never growled, never bared his teeth and never done anything but show love for us.

You have your really funny, little ways, Whisper but we wouldn't change you for the world!


His broken toe has almost healed (already) and the bandage and splint are off - yay - still on painkillers and he still lays down with a kicked-out back leg instead of standing on three!
