Nature Diary ... A Normal Summer's Day At Last

After weeks and weeks of exceptionally high temperatures and no rainfall it was a relief when, a couple of days ago, temperatures dropped, the sky clouded over and copious amounts of rain fell, bringing green into the parched landscape as grass began tentatively to grow, feeding the cattle once more. Now, with the sun shining and fluffy white clouds chasing each other across a blue sky, steered by some gentle wind, once more it looks like a normal summer's day in our little part of the world.
