Across the Humber

We re-packed the car and caravan, waved goodbye to MrM’s dad just before 10.00am, and set off on the long journey home.

First stop Horncastle, at a tyre garage, where two new tyres were fitted to the caravan. While that was being done, we walked into the town for a coffee (and cake for MrM) and a quick look round a couple of antique shops.

Then MrM drove us home via the Humber Bridge and the Tyne Tunnel, with a couple more stops en route, to re-fuel the car and to have some lunch. Arrived just before 6.00pm, having parked the caravan - we'll need to go back later in the week to clean it up a bit before the next festival. Had a quick meal, and now to unpack the car.
