The Buying Season

It is not yet the giving season, but we have certainly started on the buying season. The good news is that although the shops are busy, they have not yet reached the unsupportable stage yet.

Rain again, I set out to go for a long walk, got as far as the post box and gave up. It is all very well trying to achieve a reasonable number of steps each day, but not at the expense of getting soaked for no other reason.

After it had stopped raining a short walk around the centre of the city produced this photograph of one of the shops which probably relies largely on the buying season to sustain it through most of the rest of the year
