Fish for Breakfast

Life is good for the grey heron again. After years of absence we can see the heron returning to the Dutch towns and cities.

Why?

Well for decades we only considered expanding our living space and neglected the original animal population had to flee to other living spaces to survive our drift.

When I was young I always liked to look at these birds looking for fish in the pond, but when the fish were tough to be found, so were the herons.
Now we improved the water infrastructure we have fish back again, and… the heron too :-)
