Euphorbic

Stately jewelled crowns,
Hide the poisoned sap within.
Dangerous majesty.

This is a Euphorbia (Wolfenii I think), which are lovely architectural plants, but have a milky sap, which contains a strong irritant. - so you have to handle them with care. Apparently the sap is actually held under pressure, so the slightest touch on the stem will cause it to come out.....

This is actually the only photo I have taken today. Got a major project on, which has to be done by the end of the weekend, so my nose is well and truly set to the grindstone.
