Mrs TD was quietly tidying up Jnr's room this evening and came across this rather sluggish moth. While it wasn't dead, it didn't seem to be a million miles away from that state. Herself had thoughtfully (and carefully) loaded the creature onto a dish cloth before passing it on to me to photograph. I would think that with the punk tufts it would be easy to identify but, with 2,600 British species, I don't know where to begin.
The extra is a side view - on the basis that the writing on its wing might help.
