Oh, to be in France

For her birthday trip, Mum decided she fancied a day on the cliffs at Dover - not that she would be roaming very far!  After the obilgatory coffee and cake in the visitors centre, I settled her in a chair under a shady tree, while I took a stroll along the cliffs as far as Langdon Bay and back.

They say that on a clear day you can see across The Channel over 22 odd miles to France - and today they weren't wrong! I don't think I have ever see the French coast so clearly.
