Flower Friday at Wisley

I headed made my way to Mum's today via a very busy RHS Wisley. Still, once having negotiated the car park and the long walk to the entrance, things got much quieter in the further reaches of the gardens.

One of my favourite areas is the prairie garden planting which is full of grasses and coneflowers among others. There were butterflies and bees galore, and I caught this one enjoying the nectar of a white coneflower.

Another favourite area is the bird hide at the end of the pinerum. Today I was privileged to catch sight of the Kingfisher (extra)
