In 1979 I bought myself a good sewing machine and it has served me well. But it is old and tired as well as heavy and so I left it in Greece. This is its new replacement, surprisingly good for £33.24 though I don't imagine it will be robust enough to give me 39 years of faithful service. Come to think of it, I don't think I will last that long anyway.
